In Resource Room, Cindy makes the most of each student's time by working on IEP goals with work from current classes rather than assigning additional work. It is here where students learn to self-advocate, set goals, organize and prioritize work, and strengthen their weaknesses.
Cindy's room is all about organization, organization, organization! For each student, she keeps a meticulous record of upcoming and outstanding work and with a simple glance at her white board, students are reminded of important dates and information.
The room is an ideal workspace with an abundance of natural light, several small tables, and two computers for students who prefer a desktop.
Current students and graduates always attribute the individualized Resource Room experience with helping them find academic and personal success. As it is with all our staff, Cindy provides more than instruction; she supports students in their journeys from dependent high school students to independent young adults.
