Students in Lisa's classes are exposed to various types of texts and media and introduced to topics, areas of the world, and cultures that aren't usually included in traditional curricula.
Lisa's room is a an environment where students can engage in discussion, debate, and easily view the films, news clips, and images used as cornerstones of classes or as extensions of class topics.
Students are introduced to new material in Common Core Global History class. Lisa's mastery of the subject, which covers over 200 years of history, is clear, as year after year, students successfully pass the Global Regents exam.
